Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy
Sten Living respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond promptly to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.
Before You File
If you believe content on our store infringes your copyright, we encourage you to email us first at support@stenliving.com. We aim to review and resolve most concerns within 1–2 business days, which is often faster than a formal complaint.
Filing a Notice of Infringement
To file a formal notice, please provide our designated agent with a written communication that includes the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the specific URL(s) where it appears on our store.
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Liability for Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the material and its location before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party. If no court action is filed within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
Repeat Infringers
Sten Living reserves the right, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to limit access to, or terminate the accounts of, users who are repeat infringers.
